May Pack meeting brought big awards to the Douberly boys. Jeffrey was awarded his second rank in Cub Scouting, his Wolf badge, and is now officially a Bear Scout. He also earned three arrow points to go with his Wolf Badge. Henry was awarded his religious square knot patch. Notice Henry's fancy new orange cast...

Henry is now an Elementary school graduate! Hopefully there are two or three more in his future! Yes, that is a splint on his arm...another wrist broken...

Awards Day at North Bay

We headed to North Bay on May 23, 2013 for Kindergarten and Third Grade Awards Day. Jenna and Jeff both did very well, making the Honor Roll and receiving special awards from each of their teachers!

Can you believe it? Dustin has been in the Air Force for 15 years. It was time for another re-enlistment. He did it this time with the help of Chaplain Kenneth Smith. We are in until 20!! Then we will see. As of right now, Dustin is ready to call it quits then and join the real world back home. We shall see! 

We are alive!!!

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted and now there is sooo much to tell you! The last time I posted we were preparing for our PCS to Andersen AFB, Guam. Little did we know that just 9 days before we were supposed to fly out that our orders would be dropped. Five weeks later, the Douberlys, along with 21 bags and Missy were headed to Aviano Air Base, Italy. Here we've been for about two months. To say the time has flown would be an understatement. I can't believe how quickly time is passing. We are still waiting on our household goods. They left Mississippi July 31st, landed on Guam on August 22nd, traveled to California, then Virginia and are currently on a ship headed for Germany!! I can't wait to sleep in my own bed again- I haven't since May!!!! So here's to 6 months of updates...I hope you're ready!

Over the Rainbow...

Jenna's Ballet/Tap class performed at the Base Marina for Military Child Pride Day. They performed 2 numbers: The Tiki Room for tap and Somewhere Over the Rainbow for ballet. They were super cute!

Pinewood Derby!

Henry's last and Jeffrey's first official Pinewood Derby was this last Saturday. We did our homework this year and really focused on making our cars go FAST! It paid off! Henry came in second overall and we are pretty positive Jeff came in 4th (He never got less than 2nd place but didn't make the top 3). I am glad the cars ran well. In past years I would focus on the looks and they always looked great but we didn't spend enough time on speed. I am so glad we finally got our priorities straight! :) 

A Little Get-Away!

After our Spring Break trip with Grandma Pamela and Aunt Rosalie those two wonderful ladies stayed with our kiddos so we could escape for 6 days! We went to Orlando and had all kinds of fun! We went to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure (Harry Potter was awesome! Loved it!), and the temple for 2 endowment sessions and one sealing session. Then we headed to Daytona Beach where Dustin braved the super cool temps (where is Spring exactly?) and I read my book in the sunshine. Then we headed north to St. Augustine to climb the lighthouse and then headed home. We are so thankful for Grandma Pamela and Aunt Rosalie! They did an awesome job!

We went out to see Uncle Billy's catfish pond and our little acre of Georgia land. It's as overgrown as ever! We also made a trip to see Dustin's dad's grave. It was nice for the kids to visit and even nicer for Pamela to be able to visit. I cannot wait to meet him and Papa and Granny!
