Visiting the Animals

July 27, 2013
Growing up, we always loved going to the fair. We often entered our own creations in the fair and were so excited to go see if we had won any ribbons. It was always so awesome to find a ribbon around your entry! I was so happy that our trip home allowed me to take my own kiddos to the fair. Aunt DeAnne and her family and Grandma Pat and Grandpa Lee got to come with us! We had a great day! Just like always, we visited all the animal barns first. We saw horses, cows, goats, and pigs! The kids loved it!! After we visited all the animals we got some yummy local ice cream and headed for the exhibition halls to see the art, quilts, and food items. I love the quilts! Everyone waited outside while the "women folk" checked those out!

Summer Plans

Life in a second story apartment is remarkably different from life in North Woolmarket. The police activity in the complex was testimony of that! As we spent our first few weeks in the apartment it became clear we were not used to staying indoors with the doors locked. We all started to feel a little trapped and a little bored. With our big move to Guam on the horizon, but will quite a lot of time to fill in the meantime, I decided the kids and I would take a road trip home to Idaho and Oregon. We planned three weeks of travel, Grandma Pat flew out to drive with me, and on July 22nd we hit the road! Once we arrived in Oregon we were busy, busy, busy until the moment we headed for Idaho! Our first activity was a childhood favorite of mine: the Washington County Fair!

Dad's Get-Away

June 14-23, 3013
With a cruise on the horizon for me, Dustin planned a motorcycle with his best friend Jake. I'll let Dustin tell you all about it....

SOLD!

June 14, 2013

We sold our house! What a relief! Although we didn't make as much money as we had hoped, we did walk away with a little cash in hand and no more worries! That itself was worth a ton as we then could focus on our move to Guam. (Or so we thought!) One fun note about the sale: the mom of the family who moved in was also named Shannon- easy for the neighbors to remember!!

Jeff Turns Nine!

June 12, 2013
Jeff turned nine and wanted to have his family dinner at Chuck E. Cheese. He invited his best friend Skyler and they had a blast playing the games, eating pizza, and enjoying their last time together!

A Few Last Photos Before the House Belongs to Someone Else...

These cuties were taken on June 7, 2013. It was our last week in our house before it sold. I will miss this back yard. We took a lot of great photos in that yard!
