Makin' an Offer

Hi! We are super excited to be making an offer on this house. There is already another offer in so we're hoping that we beat it and that our's will be accepted. Pray for us! We really want this house. If you are really bored, you can watch a walk through on youtube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnN3W9op_i0 . My favorite parts of the house are the giant bathtub, the guest room with its own bath, and the awesome back yard. Enjoy!

Bad Words....

Today I have house guests, but not the kind you may be imagining. One is dressed all in white with a tiny shiny halo about her perfectly perfect hair. She looks a lot like me, only with a touch of gorgeous. She's seated on my right shoulder. The other guest is dressed all in red and sporting two tiny red horns in her hair. She's rock star spectacular and she's seated on my left shoulder. Both of them won't stop talking, my goodness. Lefty is telling me to write a nasty, naughty word ladened post today. Something like, "What's with this blankety-blank snow? Shouldn't it be Spring by now? Hello? It's just about May! And what's with the power kicking on and off, if the power goes out today heads are going to roll!" Righty-tighty over here has her side, too. She wants me to write about, "Counting my blessings" and "Looking on the bright side." So what's it gonna be today? Good girl or Bad girl?
Darn it, I can't decide! Lefty seems to have a lot more fun...Righty is, well, right. Man, what's a girl to do?
Ok, Ok, so it is snowing outside. A lot. I don't like it one stinkin' bit, but it won't last forever and I am MOVING! That is my saving grace. I am moving. Granted I am moving to a place with the occasional tornado or hurricane thrown in the mix, but I'll take it. Anything to get me out of here, please....

Card Making With 2 Sketches 4 You

So, I am entering a card making contest this week. I have never done this before but thought it would be fun...and the winner gets super scrapbooking supplies from Shanna Vineyard's Bo Bunny line and a gift certificate. Shanna not only designs stickers for Bo Bunny, but she makes awesome, I mean awesome hand-outs for Young Women which is how I stumbled upon her work! The top image is a sketch provided by the blog. I designed the bottom card with the sketch in mind. I think it turned out pretty cute. We'll see what they think after May 1st. Wish me luck!

Sometimes you just need to laugh out loud...

Ok, maybe I am just bored on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but the following pics make me laugh out loud. Today Jenna was hopping around the living room with a pair of pink tights on her head singing "Little Bunny Foo-Foo" complete with the bopping on the head part. I found it absolutely hilarious! Honestly, I must confess that this wasn't completely her idea. I had tried on a pair of nylons this morning only to find a hole right on the front of my left shin. They were laying on the coffee table and I put them on as "braids" just to get a laugh out of the kids. Jenna's pink tights, which she didn't wear to church were also on the coffee table and she donned hers. Only her's were much better suited to bunny ears, hence the song. Oh, what fun the Douberlys have on rainy Sunday afternoons.

Another First for Kelsey...Can You Tell What it Is?

Do you have a guess?

Kelsey got her first tooth! I actually saw it for the first time on the 14th but it was very hard to see. If fact, the kids couldn't see it at all. It's slowly pushing it's way out and is pretty noticable now. I thought I'd better get a photo and post her latest accomplishment. It didn't go as easily as I had thought it would. Do you know how hard it is to hold a baby, try to get them to smile so big that their little mouth is wide open, and get the photo? You can only see the tooth in the last photo and she's actually gotten all mad at me for all the other shots. Afterwards I thought to myself, why didn't you try it in the bouncy chair. Hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it? Anyways, if you look really closely at the last photo you can see one tiny tooth on the bottom. It was a pretty painful experience for the little princess. I hope all the others are much, much easier.

In my pretty garden...

Here are some photos of my tulips. They are so pretty. I just love tulips in the Spring!
I was hoping they would hold out blooming until Dustin got home but they've already begun. We're thinking Dustin will be home 2 weeks from this Wednesday. He doesn't have travel plans yet, but he should any day now. We are so excited to have him home!

More from Kelsey...

I am so glad that I am adding new photos today. These are so much happier, and Springier (Is that even a word?), and did I mention happier? Yeah. The snow is gone and the sun is once again warming the earth. I think we even hit 70F yesterday. When I took Kels outside for her first photo shoot she ended up being more interested in the grass than anything else. She just kept running her hands through it and totally ignoring me. Little stinker. Even if she isn't looking at the camera I think she's as pretty as can be. She getting the crawling thing down a little bit better everyday. She's got the idea and is working on the coordination. It's fun to see her get the things she wants after all her effort. Oh, I almost forgot... Saturday night I got a sitter so I could go to Stake Conf. adult session. When I got home Kelsey was in her bouncer seat. When she saw me she just lit up and smiled and squealed the best baby squeal I may have ever heard. It was so funny and wonderful. None of my kids have ever been that happy to see me. The sitter and I just had to laugh. She even asked if she always did that. It's those moments that make it all worth while. I can't wait for Dustin to get to see her smile. The calendar is down to 19 days. Can you believe it? Me neither!
