Jenna's Ballet Recital

Jenna's Ballet recital was held on May 11th. She was so funny. Henry and Jeff were seated on the front row and I was sitting with my camera on the floor in front of them. Hold on. Let me back up. Jenna really, really, really wanted to take Ballet class. In fact, I think there is another post on here about how expensive we found classes to be. Well, we couldn't see spending that kind of money so I talked with a couple of girls in our ward who had taken dance themselves to see if they wanted to teach a Ballet class, put on a recital, and use it for one of their Young Women projects. Kayla and Sydney did an amazing job. They taught 8 weeks of classes and then held a recital. So, back to the recital...I was sitting on the floor in the gym and the dancers were set up in the breezeway behind the chapel. Jenna kept missing her cues, or wasn't paying attention because she kept saying to me, "Mom take my picture doing this!" and then doing some type of ballet move. Even when her teacher reminded her to pay attention she said, "I can't. My mom is taking my picture!" Crazy girl. She absolutely LOVED her dance class. I am so thankful for wonderful girls like Kayla and Sydney. They are amazing young ladies who we are going to miss when they PCS soon.

These Boots Were Made for Walkin'!

If you ask Kelsey, "Who's your buddy?" Without a doubt, she'll answer loud and clear, "Daddy!"

Kelsey and Daddy are best buddies. It's super cute. The other night while he was getting ready to go on a motorcycle ride she tried to help him get ready by trying on his boots. She sure loves her Daddy!
