Muddin' In The Truck

There was a little bit of mud last weekend so before our family left Dustin took all the kids out to get the truck muddy. They all had a great time- especially when the mud flew up and sprayed them. It was a very tame event, but to the kids it was super crazy! Fun times with Uncle Dustin...

A VERY Special Cake

Our neighbor Lucy made this special Ghostbusters cake just for Henry! It was so perfect! I tasted amazing, too! Henry was so excited to get it and to eat it. We owe Lucy big time!

A Day in New Orleans

We all shared a  day in New Orleans last Saturday. My brother and his family had never been there before. We ate beignets at Cafe Du Monde, we toured the cathedral, walked through all the street vendors and musicians, and walked to the Riverwalk Marketplace to see the show at the Fudgery. My brother and his wife decided they would love to come back and stay longer- without the children! :)

Boating on the Back Bay

We all joined Dustin last Friday for a squadron Fish Fry/BBQ. Yum! Afterwards, Jeff suggested renting a boat at the marina. We had such a good time exploring the Biloxi's Back Bay. Dustin let each of the kids take a turn at the wheel. They were so excited to give it a whirl. I love an afternoon on the water!

Flint Creek Watertown- Here We Come!

My brother, Dennis, and his family were in town for the 4th of July holiday and they joined us at Flint Creek for Henry's big day! The kids rode those slides all day long! Some of us learned the hard way about wearing sunscreen- we had some pretty bad burns later on that evening, but boy we had fun while it lasted! Good thing we had the large bottle of aloe!

Henry's 10th Birthday! Could it be true?

Can my first born little baby really be 10 years old? Time sure has flown by quickly. It seems like yesterday we were here in Biloxi getting ready for him to join us and now he's been with us a decade already. Henry had a great 10th birthday. We all went to Flint Creek Watertown (photos to come) ate lots and lots of pizza, and then enjoyed cake and presents. We bought the trick re-lighting birthday candles for his cake. It was so funny. My children had never seen those before and they caused lots and lots of laughs. We finally had to dunk them in a bowl of water to extinguish them. We had so much fun!

Jeffrey's Baptism

Our Jeffrey was baptized by Dustin on June 30th, 2012!
It was such a special day for our family. We are so pleased with Jeffrey and his choice to be baptized. He is a very, very special boy. It was a very small affair and went just perfectly. Henry gave the talk on Baptism and I gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. We sang I am a Child of God and Families Can Be Together Forever. We are so happy for our Jeffrey!

Next Stop: Oklahoma

We made another last minute choice and called up our friends in Oklahoma to see if we could drop in on them. I hate to drop in on people but they were so welcoming! They took us out jetskiiing on the lake they live across the street from, fed us a wonderful dinner, kept us overnight, bought yummy donuts for breakfast and took us to a fun buffet for lunch. It was such a nice visit. They were perfect hosts! We owe them bigtime! I was disppointed to realize we didn't get a photo all together. :(
