All Caught Up!

I can hardly believe that I am all caught up. It seemed like such a daunting task when I started. Being without the internet for four months last summer sure set me very, very, very far behind, but now I am all caught up and I am so relieved! Now I can continue to keep you posted on all of our fun adventures as they happen, instead of months and months later! We have lots of fun things in the works...road trip across France, Spring Break in Milano, maybe a cruise! We'll see! :)

Family Bike Ride...is Spring Upon Us?

2/23/14

It's started to warm up just a little bit around here and it's so exciting! We set out on a family bike/go cart ride and had a great time! We love where we live in Cordenons. We are at the very northern edge of town with farmland all around us. It's absolutely beautiful!

Happy Birthday, Cub Scouting...it's Blue and Gold Time!

2/22/14

Jeff did an amazing job with his fellow cub in their skit for the Blue and Gold Banquet! It's not like standing in the gym at church with a handful of ward members. We are standing on the stage in the school cafeteria, with 50 scouts and their families watching! They did an awesome job and got lots of laughs! I missed getting a photo of the cake and candles. Happy Birthday Cub Scouting!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Happy 37th Birthday, Dustin! We hope you have a great year!

2014 Pinewood Derby

On January 11 we participated in our biggest Pinewood Derby ever! More than 50 cars! I think the most we've ever seen is maybe 15! Jeff did great. His car won "Most Futuristic". With only about 20 awards handed out he was happy to receive his award. His car wasn't the fastest, but certainly wasn't the slowest! It was organized really well and everyone had a great time!

Welcome to 2014...Finally!

January 3, 2014

We left the kiddos with our friends, the Hoyts and jumped on the train to Venice. I didn't really care much for Venice. To me, it's like New Orleans, completely over-rated! It's nice to cross it off my travel list, but I would rather be in Verona any day. We chose to walk the city instead of seeing it by boat. We visited St. Mark's square, the Basilica (lovely!), and the Rialto Bridge. We were very glad we didn't bring the kiddos...Venice is not for children. There are a million bridges with a million steps going up and over them. We didn't mind, but I couldn't help but think of how the children would have reacted! We'll be sure to take friends and family to Venice when they come, but I won't be heading back there for the fun of it- that's for sure. I am excited to head out to the islands of Murano for their glass and Burano for their lace however!

Juliet's Balcony, Verona

Here we are on Juliet's Balcony in Verona. While Shakespeare's story is fictional, this place has everything going for it! It's just as one would imagine it. So fun! I LOVE that last photo with the boys looking as bored as possible. It's so fitting!

In Fair Verona, where we lay our scene...

Verona, Italy
12-28-2013

We spent a fantastic day in Verona withe great friends, the Hoyt Family! Verona is beautiful and everything one would expect. We visited a Roman arena, Ponte Pietra, the Basilica de Santa Anastasia, and the Museo di Castelvecchio.
