Oh, the weather outside is downright scary!

This is my view from my front door today. It's not foggy, that's blowing snow. At times I can barely make out the houses around us. And yes, I did shovel the walk this morning even though you can't tell it now. I had to post this for my friend Nicole and her family. In her family's blog she posted photos from her son's field day at school. She mentioned why the kids were wearing sweatshirts and jackets- that it was a cool morning in the low 60s. We haven't hit 60F as an afternoon high yet! We thought it was nice yesterday and went for a walk- it was 43F at 6 in the evening. Today's high is a whopping 31F. Can you tell I am a little jealous of those in warmer climates? Anyways, here's hoping it warms up soon!

p.s. My mom said it was snowing in Portland, OR today, too. Now that's just plain CRAZY!

Happy Birthday, DeAnne!

My little sister's 27th birthday was yesterday so we took the opportunity this weekend to celebrate it. We had cake and presents and sang "Happy Birthday"! The boys helped choose her gifts which included a package of kazoos and a bag of candy corn! Now that's what we call a party!

Springtime Baskets!

We do our Springtime baskets on Saturday before Easter so that on Easter morning we can talk about the true meaning of the holiday. I try to keep them pretty simple with just a few small toys or books and candy. I usually put them out while the kids are in the bath. They were pretty excited this year about their baskets. Somehow I missed getting a photo of Jenna with her basket. Oh, well. Happy Springtime!

Egg Collecting at Fairchild AFB!

Hello everyone! We just spent a great Easter weekend in Spokane, WA at Fairchild AFB with my sister DeAnne and her little family. It was a last minute trip and it went by way too quickly but I think we all had a good time. The base hosted an egg hunt on Saturday. The little kids all collected inside the tennis courts. It sure didn't last long, though. I think all the eggs were collected in about a minute! The weather was definitely less windy than Great Falls but not much warmer as they still had some snow on the ground as well. Boy are we looking forward to Spring!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hello again everyone! It's been awhile (again) since I last posted. Dustin left for 11 days for training in Virginia and he had my computer. We had a good time while he was gone but we sure missed him and were so happy to pick him up at the airport this past Saturday.

We had a great St. Patrick's Day yesterday. The kids enjoyed the green theme complete with green eggs, green milk, green clothes, and, yes, green toilet water! For family night we learned all about St. Patrick and his holiday and then they hunted a leprechan, who we named Colleen Tamoshanter. Once they found her she led them by way of green glass beads with their names on them to the pot of gold! After the treasure hunt we had potato soup for dinner and green jell-o for dessert. Enjoy the photos!
