Makin' Rank!

Last night was Pack meeting where Henry was awarded his Bear Badge as well as one gold arrow point and one silver arrow point! Way to go, Hen! Now we've got about 6 weeks to see how many more arrow points he can earn before he officially becomes a Webelo after his birthday in July. Jeff will be starting scouts next month when he turns 8 and he is so excited! I am glad the boys love Cub Scouts as  much as I do!

An extra special award: The Principals Citizenship Award. It's only given to one boy and one girl per class, per quarter.

The boys rounded out the year in grand style this year! Both boys had a rough third quarter and had some work to do fourth quarter. They showed us all what great workers they are by both making the honor roll, Henry receiving the Principal's award, and Jeff earning a perfect score on his quarterly district math exam! Woohoo! Way to go, boys!

Nana!

Henry & Nana
We made an extra special stop in Lake Park, GA to see our Nana, Vi Pickles. We adopted the Pickles when we lived next door to them when we were stationed at Moody AFB. We love them just like our own family. Papa Pick has since passed, but we loved visiting with Nana and two of her daughters, Judy and Brenda. It was so fun to see our old house and the places the boys loved to play when they were tiny. It was so great to see them all again!

The Wedding Party

We drove out to Homerville, Georgia this past weekend for our cousin Dusty's wedding. It was so nice to see everyone again. The last time we were home Jenna was just 18 months old! The kids met lots of cousins and had a lot of fun. Uncle Billy Murray performed the wedding. During the reception, Henry and some other boys were out playing around a pond at the venue. They noticed a snake in a tree right at their eye level out over the water. They went and told the owner of the house and he came out with a shotgun and shot the very poisonous water moccasin out of the tree! Yikes! I guess a true southern wedding isn't complete without a little gunfire! Congrats to Dusty & Ansleigh!

Congratulations Jenna Mae!

Jenna's turn to say her Bible verse

We love Woolmarket Baptist Church Preschool. Jenna had an amazing year and is more than ready to jump into Kindergarten with both feet. She has learned so much and has had such a wonderful year. We think Ms. Auney is the best preschool teacher in the whole world! Their graduation ceremony was so nice. The children sang the songs they had learned and each shared a Bible verse with the letters of the alphabet. The children did an amazong job. We are sad to leave this little school, but we are super excited about Kindergarten (and only one drop-off and one pick-up a day instead of double duty!)!

Happy Mother's Day to Me!

I enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day this past weekend! I woke up to breakfast outside on our new picnic table! I wanted one so badly and Dustin came through! I love eating outside, but we haven't had a table since we had to leave our's in GA when we moved. I had a great day at church followed by an awesome nap. Then the family humored me, wore what I asked, and joined me at Airey Lake for some new family photos. They aren't perfect but they are pretty nice. I love the ones of the children the most. I think I have the cutest kids in the world. I am so blessed to have them! Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers that I love!

Temple Square with the Durrants

On our way home from Idaho, we stopped in Salt Lake City and stayed with Aunt Linda. While we were there we met up with the Durrants and visited Temple Square. It was so nice to see them again and let our children be crazy together! We sure miss them!

At the Reception...

Mom, Tara, Kara, Rosalie, and I threw together a very wonderful wedding reception in just a few days' time! The gym looked lovely with lilac and sky blue centerpeices. Tara made the cake with the help of a friend, and Rosalie and Tara put together all the food. It was a great night! It was so fun to celebrate this special time with Marcus, Kara, and their families.

Party Perfect!

Here are some photos of Kelsey and Jenna all dressed up for the party! They looked so darling!
