In July we took a much needed vacation up to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. There is a military resort there called Edelweiss. We had a great room and enjoyed the pool multiple times a day. You know what else we enjoyed? Free ICE water at dinner!! No where in Europe offers free water at dinner. You must pay by the bottle and ice, what ice? (When we traveled to Switzerland, we paid 19.50 francs for one liter of water with dinner! That's $21.46 for a liter of water!) Anyways, we had a great week in Germany! Our first stop was a visit to Schloss Linderhof, or the Linderhof Palace. The only palace King Ludwig II lived to see completed. We toured the inside, but no photos were allowed. Oh, and it rained all week long!
