The Temple

This is the Laie Hawaii Temple. It's located on the Northwest corner of the island. It's very near BYU Hawaii and the Polynesian Cultural Center. We went to the 11 am session and had a wonderful time. In LDS temples, couples are married, or sealed, for time and all eternity. We also perform these sealings for people who died before a temple sealing was available to them by proxy. Well, we were staying at the Hale Koa hotel on Waikiki Beach. It seemed like there was either a wedding or a renewal of vows ceremony everyday at the hotel. I kept thinking how fun that would be. But Dustin and I were married in the temple and we don't do that. But after our session a gentleman came up and asked us if we would help with some sealings that morning. It was so fun to do these 10 sealings for 10 couples who had been waiting so long and to get a chance to think about our own sealing 6 years ago. So we may not have been invited to any of the weddings at our hotel, we got to participate in 10 very happy weddings at the temple. I must admit, I didn't miss the cake a bit!
